Public Transport Fares Barcelona updated to 2013. Prices are reviewed every year on the 1st of January. Here are the updated Bus and Metro Transport Fares Barcelona for 2013:
Single ticket (1 journey): €2 (this ticket does not allow transfers among other means of transport).
Number of Days | Price |
---|---|
1 Day (T-Dia) | €7.25 |
2 Days | €13.40 |
3 Days | €19.20 |
4 Days | €24.40 |
5 Days | €29.00 |
The above are valid for an unlimited number of journeys in as many consecutive days as printed on the card (e.g. the 2 Day card is valid for an unlimited number of journeys in 2 days, and so on).
Important: Time does not count from the start of use of the card but in calendar days (if you buy your 1-day ticket at 17:00, it lasts until the end of that day not until the 17:00 of the next day).
The Transport Fares Barcelona are valid on all means of transport (Metro, Bus, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat urban lines (FGC), Renfe’s Rodalies train and the TRAM).
Apart from the above, there is also a T-10 card (valid for 10 journeys) for €9.80. This travel card allows transfers among different means of transport during the following 75 minutes without taking more than 1 time the Metro or same Bus number.
In our opinion, the T-10 is the most interesting card as it can be used by different people and the price is very reasonable.
There are other travelcards for longer periods of time, although these would be for people living in Barcelona rather than tourists.
Travelcard Name | Price |
---|---|
T-50/30* | €39.20 |
T-Mes** | €52.75 |
*T-50/30 – Valid for 50 journeys in 30 consecutive days.
** T-Mes – Valid for an unlimited number of journeys in 30 consecutive days.
are cards good for a 24hour period or by day?
Hi Brandie, they are just valid fot the current day.
Regards
Jordi
Sorry, Jordi, but they are not and we got caught last time for exactly that reason. Luckily the ticket inspectors were very understanding. Passes are ONLY valid on the day they are franked up until 2 am next morning. We arrived at 9pm and assumed they would be valid until 9pm the next day but they were not! Brandie, I hope you didn’t get caught out!
