Next to the Cathedral of Barcelona, there is a beutiful building not to be missed. This building hosts the Santa Caterina Market or Mercat de Santa Caterina, famous because of its unique and innovative full coloured arquitecture:
Mercat de Santa Caterina
Mercat de Santa Caterina is located whithin Ciutat Vella area at Francesc Cambó avenue no. 16 (metro Jaume I or Urquinaona L4) and it is just 200 meters from the Barcelona’s Cathedral.

Apart from the market itself, Mercat de Santa Caterina also hosts a very nice restaurant with very reasonable prices where different kind of food is served: Mediterranean, Indian, Oriental, … This restaurantt does not accept reservations so it is recommended to get around 9:00 pm in order to be able to get a table.
Note: This restaurant have really big tables and it is normal that they are shared by different groups of people.
