Champions League Semifinal: Barcelona vs Chelsea

F.C. Barcelona is the only non-English team that has reached the Champions League semifinal.

Barcelona will face Chelsea in the Semi-Finals of the Champions League. The catalan club sealed its place in the Semi’s with a comprehensive win over Bayern Munich at the Camp Nou.

First Leg: Camp Nou (Barcelona), 28.04.2009
Second Leg: Stamford Bridge (London), 06.05.2009

Chelsea progressed to the last four of the competition after a fantastic 4-4 draw against Liverpool.

On the other semi-final, Arsenal and Manchester United will look for a place in the Champions League Final in Rome on Mary 27th.

Transport Information:

Barcelona City Council (Ajuntament de Barcelona) will increase the frequency of Metro and Buses before and after the game to minimize the effects on traffic.

Metro will remain open until 12.

Pabellón Olímpico de Badalona

The Pabellón Olímpico de Badalona, is probably the most important attraction of Badalona, a city devoted to the sport of basketball and to its team, Club Joventut de Badalona, one of the best teams in Spain and in Europe.

It is currently the home area of Club Joventut de Badalona and although it is mainly used for sporting events, it frequently hosts music concerts.

Groups such as Bruce Springsteen, Mark Knopfler, Oasis, The Killers or Marilyn Manson just to name a few, have performed there.

U2 in Barcelona

Concert at the Camp Nou

New U2 album ‘No Line on the Horizon‘ was released world-wide last weeks (2nd and 3rd of March). Dates for the new U2 Tour have been released and U2 fans will be happy to know that the Irish band has chosen Barcelona as their first stop of their 2009 Wold Tour.
