Tibidabo

Tibidabo is a mountain overlooking Barcelona located at Serra de Collserola. This mountain is mainly famous due to the amusement park that resides at the top of the mountain with spectacular views of the city. The park was built in 1899 and inaugurated in 1901 (is the oldest amusement park in Spain) and since then it has gone through many changes and adversities always being one of the most important references for children’s entertainment in the city.

Tibidabo park counts with an area of 70.000 square meters and count with many attractions, here are some of them:

Roller coaster, Crash cars, Trampolines, Mirror maze, Hotel Krüeger (horror attraction), Mysterious castle, La mina d’or (acquatic attraction), Viking, Piratta, Tchu tchu train, Hurakan …

Tibidabo

Tickets can be bought at bus departures, on the website Tibidabo and at the entrance of the park, prices go around 25€ adults and 10€ child.

How to get there:

1) By Funicular: L7 FGC to Tibidabo Avenue station. Then take the tram Blau to finally reach the park grounds with Funicular del Tibidabo. Tram Blau is a very beautiful way to get to Tibidabo park:

2) By bus (bus ticket free when showing Tibidabo ticket, tickets can be bought at bus departures):

–> From Barcelona

  • T2A-line: departure every 20 minutes from Plaza Cataluña and Rambla de Catalunya.
  • T2B-line: departure every half hour from in front of the car park of Sant Genis (in the Vall d’Hebron).

–> From Sant Cugat:

  • T2C Line: exit at hourly intervals from the FGC station Valldoreix, with intermediate stop in street Guimera Ribatallada with Angel Guimerà, near the station FGC Sant Cugat. On the way back this intermediate stop is located on Calle Martorell.

3) By car

–> From Tarragona:

  • Motorway AP-7 towards Barcelona
  • Entrance to Barcelona through Ronda de Dalt
  • Take the exit 6 of Ronda de Dalt (Vallcarca)
  • From the side of Round Top Road take the Arrabassada road and follow the road towards Tibidabo

–> From Girona:

  • Motorway AP-7 towards Barcelona
  • Entrance to Barcelona through Ronda de Dalt
  • Take the exit 5 of Ronda de Dalt (Vall d’Hebron)
  • From the side of Round Top Road take the Arrabassada road and follow the road towards Tibidabo

–> From Sabadell, Terrassa:

  • C-16 motorway towards Barcelona
  • Take the exit 7 (Les Planes / Barcelona per Vallvidrera)
  • Follow the Vallvidrera road towards Tibidabo
